Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know about Treni Alert and seat alerts.

Can I buy a ticket from Treni Alert?

No. Treni Alert does not sell tickets or handle bookings. We alert you when a seat frees up on a sold-out train; you always book on the carrier's official site (Trenitalia, Italo, etc.).

Is setting an alert and getting notifications free?

Yes, you can set alerts and receive notifications for free. We may add optional premium features later, but the core alert function stays free.

Is Treni Alert connected to Trenitalia or Italo?

No. Treni Alert is a fully independent service, not affiliated with or endorsed by Trenitalia, Italo, Trenord, RFI or Ferrovie dello Stato. We name these trademarks only to indicate which trains you can monitor.

How do I connect notifications via the Telegram bot?

Open our Telegram bot, tap "Start", and follow the prompts to set your first alert. You'll get a Telegram message the moment a seat opens on your chosen train.

Which trains and operators are supported?

We monitor the main long-distance and regional trains in Italy: Trenitalia (Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, Intercity), Italo and many regional services. We keep adding new routes.

How fast do I get the alert?

We check availability continuously, around the clock. The moment a seat comes back in your chosen class, we send the notification instantly via push, email or Telegram.

What do you do with my data?

We collect only the data needed to send the alerts you requested, and we never sell your data. You can find all the details in our Privacy Policy.
